COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement The COVID-19 vaccination requirement for federal employees under Executive Order 14043 does not currently apply. To ensure compliance with the current nationwide preliminary injunction, which may be supplemented, modified or revoked depending on the ongoing litigation, the federal government will not take any action to implement or enforce the COVID-19 vaccination requirement under Executive Order 14043. Require 2019 Coronavirus Vaccination for Federal Employees. Therefore, to the extent a federal job posting includes a requirement that applicants be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in accordance with Executive Order 14043, that requirement does not currently apply. Federal agencies may request information about the vaccination status of selected applicants in order to implement other workplace safety protocols, such as protocols related to masking, physical distancing, testing, travel, and quarantine.

This Department of Defense program was created to reduce the negative impact on the career paths of spouses of active duty service members. The program gives special preference in the selection process to the best qualified eligible spouses for NF-3 positions and below and similar hourly paid positions. If you are the spouse of a military member, ask us if you qualify for spousal benefits.
The spouse privilege requires a copy of the active member's orders with the spouse's name listed. With effect from 7 October 04, spouse benefit applicants employed in a flexible position will not lose spousal allowance until they have been transferred or employed in a normal full-time or part-time position.

There is no limit to the number of times the spousal preference can be used for referrals and selections for non-continuing positions. Spouses can be posted in both continuing and non-continuing positions at the same time. Eligibility ceases upon acceptance or rejection of an ongoing offer of a full-time or part-time position.
This is a Department of Defense program that provides employment benefits to our service members and their family members who will be affected by the reduction of our military forces. The transitional assistance benefit applies to positions at NF-3 and below and corresponding hourly paid positions.
