Trackhawk Hp 2022 - The nitrous-fed 1,300 HP Jeep Grand Cherokee matches the Tesla Model S plaid in brutal acceleration.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is one of the fastest SUVs out there. It may not have the off-road prowess of less powerful versions, but it makes up for it with grunt. After all, it packs a Hellcat engine under the hood.
Trackhawk Hp 2022
With 707 horsepower (527 kW) and 645 foot-pounds of torque (875 Newton meters), you can't call the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk underpowered. The 6.2 liter, supercharged HEMI V8 can propel the 5, 363 lbs (2, 432 kg) SUV to 60 mph (97 km/h) in about 3.5 seconds. That said, there are still people out there who get that number very slowly.

One of them is Mike Ferrand of Sinister Performance Club. Its Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is rated at 1,300 horsepower (956 kW) and 1,500 ft-lbs (2,033 Newton meters) of torque. Thanks to the added boost, Mike's timed trackhawk is the fastest in Canada and the second fastest worldwide.
According to Mike, the engine is built for nitrous and has an upgraded blower and billet bearing plates. The Jeep has a top and bottom, as well as a 1,300 cc injector. Pistons and rods were strengthened with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Last but not least, the axles got an upgrade to deal with the massive increase in power. Surprisingly, most of the engine's internal components remain stock. The worst part is that it still uses a common shaft.
A video from That Racing Channel shows it takes an effort to compete with the SUV in a straight line. It also shows the brutal launches this Trackhawk is capable of without active nitrous. With it on, the 5,500-lb SUV leaps from rest like a radio-controlled car
In 2020, the Jeep pulled a quarter-mile time of 9.55 and set a speed trap of 143 mph. For the record, the world record is 9.48 seconds, so Mike is not far behind. Not only that, it can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in under two seconds and is GPS certified. In other words, it's a few hundred yards from matching the Tesla Model S Plate. That's not bad for an SUV with a full interior. If anything, the ability to change the Trackhawk makes us sad to hear reports that there won't be a second-gen version on the horizon. Jeep has revealed its new Grand Cherokee for the 2022 model year, complete with the Grand Cherokee 4xe. Hybrid dialect for the first time. It looks more modern, taking styling cues inspired by the latest Wagoneer, but while we love new technology, hybrid options and styling upgrades, not all of our wishes are met. The hybrid model marks a change in direction for Jeep, but before the world fully commits to electric vehicles, we'd like to see the automaker release a Trackhawk model with a Hellcat engine, one more time. Do it for the fans, Zip.
Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk First Test Review: Power Mad
Unfortunately, it seems very unlikely that our dream will come true, but if it does, Trackhawk needs to be kicked out. 707 horsepower just won't cut it anymore, so we'd like to see the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 make at least 717 hp like the current Challenger SRT Hellcat, but the radiator's 797 hp won't be handled without complaint. Power has to go to all four corners again, but that's no bad thing - especially in an SUV. Some bigger brakes, a lower suspension setup and unique styling could make it as popular as the original.
Talking about the style, we expect the vented hood to make a comeback along with unique hoods on both ends of the SUV. Big wheels wrapped in low-stick rubber look great, as does a black roof. Inside, we'd like to see custom seats with contrast stitching and suede, a unique steering wheel, and a sprinkling of carbon fiber for that sporty look.
As the industry moves away from combustion-powered powertrains, and with a near-universal deadline for automakers to electrify their lineups by 2025, now's the perfect time to put the finishing touches on the engineering marvel for the Jeep Grand Cherokee. This is the Hellcat engine being consigned to the history books forever.
